CORPIUS is committed to publishing accurate, transparent, and independently produced content on business formation, compliance, taxation, and entrepreneurship.
1. About CORPIUS News
CORPIUS News is the editorial news and insights division of CORPIUS (operated by AIR RISE INC, a New Yorkβbased business formation company). We publish original articles, regulatory updates, and expert guidance on:
- U.S. business formation (LLC, C-Corp, S-Corp, Nonprofit)
- IRS regulations, tax law changes, and compliance deadlines
- Entrepreneurship, startup strategy, and operational finance
- Immigration-related business matters (EB-5, Green Card programs)
- State-specific business regulations across all 50 U.S. states
All content published under the CORPIUS News brand is produced by our editorial team or properly credited guest contributors. We do not publish sponsored articles or paid placements disguised as editorial content.
2. Content Creation Process
Every article published on CORPIUS News follows a structured editorial workflow:
- Topic Research: Our editorial team identifies topics based on current regulatory developments, IRS notices, court rulings, state law changes, and market trends relevant to U.S. business owners.
- Drafting: Articles are drafted by writers with expertise in business law, tax, compliance, or entrepreneurship. All claims are tied to verifiable primary sources.
- Editorial Review: Every draft is reviewed by at least one senior editor before publication. The review covers factual accuracy, source integrity, clarity, and potential legal implications.
- Legal Vetting (where applicable): Articles dealing with tax guidance, legal compliance thresholds, or regulatory changes are reviewed by a qualified professional before publication.
- Publication: Articles are published with a clear byline, publication date, and category classification.
3. Editorial Standards
3.1 Independence
Editorial decisions β including what topics we cover, how we frame issues, and what conclusions we draw β are made independently by our editorial team. Our editorial content is not influenced by advertiser relationships, business development interests, or third-party pressure.
3.2 Accuracy
We strive for factual precision in every article. Writers are required to cite official government sources (IRS, SBA, SEC, state secretary of state offices, federal court records) as primary references. Secondary sources (academic journals, established legal publications, reputed financial media) may supplement primary sources.
3.3 Transparency of Authorship
Every article carries the name of the author or editor responsible for the content. If a piece is collectively produced by the CORPIUS editorial team without a designated lead author, it is attributed to "CORPIUS Editorial Team."
3.4 Clearly Labeled Opinion
Opinion pieces, commentary, and analysis are explicitly labeled as such. We draw a clear distinction between factual reporting and editorial opinion. Readers should not interpret any labeled opinion piece as legal, tax, or financial advice.
3.5 Conflict of Interest
CORPIUS writers and editors must disclose any financial or personal relationship with entities covered in their articles. Undisclosed conflicts of interest are grounds for editorial retraction and removal of content.
4. Fact-Checking Process
Before any article is published, the following fact-checking steps are performed:
- All cited regulations, dollar amounts, deadlines, and legal thresholds are cross-referenced against the official IRS website, Federal Register, or relevant state regulatory body.
- Statistics and data points are verified against their original source. We do not rely on secondary statistics without tracing back to the underlying dataset.
- Quotes attributed to public officials, legal scholars, or industry experts are verified in context. Out-of-context quotations are not permitted.
- If a claim cannot be independently verified, it is removed from the article or explicitly qualified with appropriate uncertainty language ("reportedly," "according to," etc.).
5. Source Verification Policy
We apply a tiered source evaluation framework:
- Tier 1 (Primary β preferred): Official government websites (IRS.gov, SBA.gov, USA.gov, state .gov domains), federal/state legislation, judicial opinions, official regulatory filings.
- Tier 2 (Secondary β acceptable): Peer-reviewed legal or accounting journals, law school publications, established financial news outlets (e.g., Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg Law, Reuters).
- Tier 3 (Supplementary β use with caution): Industry trade publications, company press releases, and association statements. These may be referenced but must be clearly attributed and not presented as definitive fact.
- Not acceptable: Unverified social media posts, anonymous sources, content farms, or AI-generated content presented as fact without human editorial review.
6. Use of Artificial Intelligence
CORPIUS News may use AI writing assistance tools to help with drafting initial structures or summarizing regulatory documents. However:
- All AI-assisted content is fully reviewed, edited, and verified by a human editor before publication.
- No AI-generated content is published without human editorial oversight and fact-checking.
- AI tools are not used to fabricate quotes, invent sources, or generate legal interpretations without human judgment.
7. Corrections and Updates Policy
We are committed to correcting errors promptly and transparently.
7.1 Minor Corrections
Typographical errors, grammatical issues, or formatting corrections are made silently without a formal notice, as these do not affect factual content.
7.2 Factual Corrections
If a factual error is discovered β whether self-identified by our team or reported by a reader β we will:
- Correct the article within 48 business hours of verification.
- Add a visible "Correction" notice at the bottom of the article explaining what was changed and when.
- Update the article's
dateModifiedmetadata to reflect the revision.
7.3 Significant Changes
If regulatory information in an article becomes materially outdated due to a law change or new guidance, we will update the content and add an "Updated" notice at the top of the article indicating the revision date and the nature of the update.
7.4 Retractions
In rare cases where an article is found to be fundamentally inaccurate and cannot be corrected without a full rewrite, we may issue a retraction. The original article will be replaced with a retraction notice explaining what was wrong and why it was removed.
8. Reporting an Error
We welcome feedback from readers. If you believe an article contains an inaccuracy, outdated information, or a misrepresentation of fact, please contact our editorial team:
- Email: [email protected]
- Subject line: "Editorial Correction Request β [Article Title]"
- Please include: the URL of the article, the specific claim in question, and your source for the correct information.
All correction requests are reviewed within 3 business days, and we will respond to let you know the outcome of our review.
9. Advertising and Sponsored Content
